I know theres a God and a spirit and i have thought the same thing.
and all the hate and murder and crime and weirdness going on.Why?why does God allow it all to happen,
I have lost everything.suffered so much .why?so that i might learn something from suffering perhaps?
i have seen a number of life saving supernatural miracles.so i know somethings is going on.so since God can work miracles then why not a loud voice from the sky saying stop that,do right don't rob that old lady, don't rape that child.if i were God i would stay with a person telling them what to do from the time they begin speaking to the time they got old, every day i would be on them, do this do that don't do this are that.then i could train them, and some would listen.some would do as i told told them, some wouldn't though.just like the way we have it now.God is spirit.and can manifest material things to happen.but he usually leaves things alone.I am not God so i don't know why things are the way they are,i can only have faith and love for God and ask of the spirit what to do in this life that is pleasing to God and have faith that when i die i will go on to heaven .god has it set up this way for a reason.its not up to me to judge Gods ways and tell him what to do, i am just a little soul trying to make it spiritually
if i were God i would give up on humans and give souls to dolphins since there really much better creatures

The simple answer is: God becomes a 'known' quantity/quality within a person when they are ready for it.
In other words, Newton didn't invent gravity, but neither did gravity have to walk around with a big neon sign saying 'HEY, please notice me.'
Atheists have a purpose to fulfill also. Who better to 'test' a believer than to be tested by one who cannot be made to believe? How does one's faith square with the idea that a non-believer WILL go to hell?
Also, maybe that is what hell is too; a morality test, like God asking Abraham to sacrifice his son. Does God want the sacrifice or the devotion?
Not everything is always for the purposes that others suppose it to be. And a reason doesn't always have to make one happy or 'saved' by its knowing.

Well, if God exists, and he's so nice and loving... Why doesn't he 'sort out' wars and global warming and all that Jazz? ... And how exactly did this God just pop up out of nowhere? I mean, i'd be pretty bored if I had to sit there, floating in nothingness for who knows how long? And I would mind hearing this theory, sounds interesting. If I sound sarcastic, I didn't mean to, sorry...

He gave you the word to read and study so you could see for yourself.
If you saw God with your eyes, you would die, your mortal form can't handle the splender and glory of God. He told Moses that when Moses got to see His back as He walked away....the face of Moses was SHINING after that. It GLOWED.
He IS doing a lot now, you just dont know what you are looking for because you havent read the book that answers every question you just asked in it. There are dozens of things the bible says happens durin this time period. It predicts Israel becoming a nation (1948 it did), they would relearn their language (they have), the natural love of many would grow cold (children and parents kill each other, wth?), people would become addicted to medicine and drugs (pharmacy type stuff), there would be scoffers saying "Things continue just as they always have since the fathers fell asleep" (in other words "things are going to go just as they always have"), nations would call for the destruction of Israel to wipe them off the map (Iran has several times publicly), the list goes on. The things He said would happen ARE happening all around you, read the word and see for yourself. God bless.

Martin: The answer - although somewhat, simplistic, is this. God is not finished with the implementation of His Devine Plan for His human creation - YET ! A better question might be, is this. If God were so powerful and exists, then why is Satan beating Him out in winning people's souls and casting them into an ever-burning "hell" fire ? Doesn't this make Satan ... more powerful than God is ? As a Christian, I can answer this one - but sticking to the gist of your initial question is my objective.

By faith we believe. Jesus walked this world some 2000 years ago and performed miracles. He walked on water, He caused the blind to see, the deaf to hear, the sick were healed, the dead were alive and people still denied Him. People are going to believe what they choose to believe. Even if God were to show himself now people still would not believe.
God does show himself everyday. If you walk outside and see the trees, the sky, the sun and the moon. Look at the birds, animals, and the ocean; who do you think created those, it was God. God gave you the air to breathe this morning. God does show Himself to us everyday, you just don't want to believe it.

Because he wants us to have faith. How easy would it be do just show Himself to us? What would be the point? We all believe? And then what? I guarantee you that, some humans being the way we are, would still rebel against Him even if He stood right in front of them. We are humans. We sin. God gave us life and loves us. He wants us to love him back. Not because He so obviously just showed himself and we have no choice but because we know He's there just by looking around us on this earth. Being a Christian, it just seems logical to me that all the magnificence on this earth couldn't have happened by accident. It's too perfect. That's his testament to us, just us being here. It's up to us to make the next move.
Someone once described God to me as like our own parents. Parents (well, most anyway) love their children and long to be loved in return. Not because their child "should" love them. Because they want to. Because the child truely cares about and appreciates their parents. Is that always the case? No. And it wouldn't be if God just appeared to us tomorrow. We have to want to love him.

The reason God doesn't need to prove His existence by showing up to the world is because He is so glorious we wouldn't be able to understand what we had seen. Abraham in the old testamant said that when he saw God he couldn't explain what he had seen
God is not going to persuade or force you into believing He is real. It is up to you to trust in your creator and have faith that He is real. I know you don't want to hear the free will thing but we as humans are able to make our own decisions.

there are atheists because God loves us and he wants us to love hinm. if he FORCED us to love him, it wouldnt mean a darn thing!! thats why it is a privalige to be God's child!
and dont question Gods power people in the bible make the same conclusion- that God should just "prove it" well take a look at life, creation and oh yeah, his Son- the resurections not enough for yah? any how, he doesnt need to prove his existence to His own creation! God says in the Bible that people who need proof should take a look around.

Okay this is just the "A rock so big God can't lift it" question. The reason is simple. It's called BALLANCE, as in ying/yang or Heaven/Hell. There are believers, fence straddlers and disbelievers. see, it all balances.
Now, I ask you .... Why should God have to prove himself. He's given you all you need to make up your mind, the choice is yours. Choose wisely
