And isnt that being polytheistic . Either Gods in control or Hes not. If God permits cruelty ,war , crime, etc...., then God is at fault. ( Of course many believe in neither , which camp I am quickly leaning towards and throwing away the garbage Ive been brainwashed into believing all my life) Or as that Nietchze guy said "God is dead"

Because its easy. The idea that the devil is somehow in a close to equal (if losing) battle with God is the idea the I was taught to believe.

But, as a Christian, I believe that bad things happen because that is the way that the world that God created works.

We have massive mud slides because WE cut down trees and develop areas that should be left in peace, or at least developed with more thought. Then when the homes that WE built there are destroyed people blame the devil.

Or when disease or famine ravage a country and we see pictures of children too weak to wave flies away from their eyes people blame satan. But when its time to choose our leaders WE constantly choose those that WE know all but ignore those children.

All too often people wail about the evil in the world and point fingers at God or at the devil when WE should be pointing straight ahead and looking into a mirror.

God gave us free will, that's what causes cruelty, war, crime, etc... And God said bad things happen to good people. It's not about earth or any one human. Since God doesn't see time then life on earth is very short. It's a blink of an eye for him.

But because of free will Satan does do a lot of bad things.

God gives and God takes away. People put the blame on Satan even when he's not at fault for that particular thing. It's easy to blame him for things though because he causes trouble all the time. When things go wrong, usually it's our fault, or an accident.

God allows men to do what men do mostly to show us that we are wicked. If He forced all men to be good, you wouldn't have a free will. It's not HIS fault people don't listen to Him and do evil things, it's their own. You get to watch free will in action, it gives you a chance to see what God is talking about when He says men are wicked. Sin made them that way.

Death and sin came into the world by the deception of Satan and he is the father of all lies.

God is the Creator and He allows men and women make decisions and live their lives but He will answer Prayers when we ask for His help if we are believes and do not have iniquity in our life.
God said that you have not because you ask not.

Do Not Blame God for your own sin.

The reason the Devil get's the blame is cause we generally don't want to take the blame for our actions. The idea is that we are tempted to do wrong . . that's true, but we are never tempted beyond our ability to resist. God is only in control in the areas you give him control. Overall, His plan is in progress whether you join in or not.

Your concept that God is dead is based on some concept that God can die. In fact, he defeated death.

I beg you to know there are two forces one light the most powerful and darkness the weakest . This is what all things are based on you must go to the light of the powerful. If not you witness the dark of the weak. This is what happens so Karma plays to even all things out ( actions) think of things simple not complicate them just love not hate! You are on your way because you then accept all things living and non- living !

ill try to keep this short but its complicated!! 1st off God IS in control! people who try to blame satan cant accept that some times we dont understand why God lets bad things happen. however, the Bible says that He uses simple things to confound the wise and His ways are higher that ours- i know it sounds like spiritual jargon but really, humans cant understand God fully until paradise, which is proof that hes in control- would God be that powerful if erred humans could figure Him out? and if youre "brainwashed" then it isnt faith because it isnt from your heart. praying for u...i hope thats not spam??

If we do the crime or sin its our fault ultimately. Even if the one who tempts you is satan. Sometimes its our own fleshly desires as well. Sometimes other people, tv, celebrities, music influence us too. We are responsible for our own actions. God is good and has a good purpose for all He does. Sometimes He disciplines in love to teach us as well. He is very merciful and slow to anger and will forgive if you ask for forgiveness. Hes awesome!

The bible is not only full of superstition and mythology, it's also like one side of a divorce story. Where does Satan get to tell his side? Some of the evil that God endorses makes Him sound more like a devil.

What is good? What is truth? Isn't it infinite?

What is bad? What is a lie? Isn't it posing the finite as the infinite.

God is in control and allows free will. That is not a contradiction but a paradox.
