unable to create direct3D device with the current settings please run the configuration tool and check that video settings are valid

what should i do? i wanted to play the game it keep giving me this error?

Windows XP
Directx installed
direct3D installed?

Else, all we can tell is the game doesn't like your video card.

Direct3D is utilizing Graphics Acceleration device is installed in the machine. Virtually all 3-D accelerator cards for PCs support Direct3D. if you have an VGA card and trying to RUN or install a game that requires AGP card, you get this message.

Install the latest DirectX, XP uses it differently than Windows 98.

maybe your videocard is not good for game and you need upgrade it, maybe you need newer video drivers or maybe you need to reduce (lower) video settings for the game to run.
