Everybody has their own version of the truth.....
It's a political issue more than anything else & there's no place for truth in politics.

It is over but the media will not let it die! The British soldiers were caught in the Iranian safe zone and they were taken in. They were blindfolded and isolated! They were not starved, tortured, beaten, raped, sodomized or killed! They were released by the Iranian govt.' now everyone is dissecting why these soldiers confessed that they were in an area they should not have been in. Iran did a noble thing and showed respect for human life by releasing these soldiers, It is more than I can say for Bush adm. who have tortured and killed so many with out any proof of wrongdoing. Iran has every right to keep its zones safe just like every other country!

Who knows.
But, if these trained British sailors did indeed break down and confess to things they did not do, after a day or two of the treatment they described?
I think that does call into question every confession the US has acquired using methods at least that severe.

British and Iranian governments will lie to serve their respective interests. You must analyze the news so that you will detect who is telling to truth.

Who's lying? People who have a history of taking hostages and threatening to nuke the U.S. and Israel or soldiers who were mistreated by their captors?
Hmm. That's a toughie. Let me think a minute..
Ok, ok, I got it. I'm gonna go with Iran's government being the liars.

I believe it is the Iranian government who is untruthful. It's all part of its propoganda campaign to intimidate Western countries.

Is this a trick question?
Me....I'll go with the British on this one. I still haven't forgotten the Iranian "students" violating US sovereign soil in 1979. And if you have to ask you need to learn history to understand today's US-Iran relationships.
