Romans, especially Romans 8:31, 35-39.
Doesn't reading this just give you chills? :
"What, then, shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who will be against us?"
"Who will separate us from the love of the Christ? Will tribulation or distress or persecution or hunger or nakedness or danger or sword? Just as it is written: “For your sake we are being put to death all day long, we have been accounted as sheep for slaughtering. To the contrary, in all these things we are coming off completely victorious through him that loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life nor angels nor governments nor things now here nor things to come nor powers nor height nor depth nor any other creation will be able to separate us from God’s love that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Daniel. Very unique book. One of the chapters is King Nebuchadnezar's personal testimony. Daniel's visitation by the archangel where he receives the 70 weeks prophecy is amazing. Daniel prophesied the exact day the Messiah would arrive, the day Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey.

I have to go with the book of James in the New Testament. It is a book which gets straight to the point of Christianity. James cuts no corners. We find advice on faith, prayer, wisdom, relationships, patience, works, and learning to control your tongue. Only 5 chapters, but what a five chapters they are.

Matthew - its the one where Christ talks the most about the heavy hitting philosophical issues of spirituality and how we should act to best navigate ourselves through this world.
BTW - I'm not even a Christian.....but I like the points in that book - its about being a good person! among other things.

Luke because it talks more about women than esp. Mary than any other book in the bible.

Romans. It addresses so many issues of faith and the certainty of salvation, and the security of God's love for us, and many, many other things that are so vital to the Spirit-filled life. Just to read, over and over, the deliverance from the Law of Sin and Death to the Law of Grace and Life, I mean WOW! Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow!

Philipians in the New Living Translation. It's profoundly warm and personal and just plain good.
