Alot faster than the previous WW's. Tactical nukes will ensure that.

One scenario I have played out is the uniting of all the middle-eastern countries. If that happens it will be disastrous. It will be a superpower with weapons of mass destruction and a hold on the worlds oil supply. The UN will move fast to take them down. Also N. Korea will invade S. Korea, or China. Both of which will be allies. The US will have troops in Asia and the Middle-east. Most of it will go very fast. We will Nuke N. Korea and it will be a lot like desert storm. Troops will just pick up the pieces. The fighting will only last a year or two. After that it's just a matter of cleaning up the mess.

Off coarse you will be, than you'll draw Great Brittain and the UK along with Australia & New Zealand, even the French will be forced to play their role. Israel will commence with tactical Nuclear strikes against the Lebanese and Iranians, at the request and support of the US, this will bring China & North Korea in, the Russians will be there for us as they were in WW1 & WW2 and suffer the greatest loss.
As a result the Southern Hemisphere will remain largely unscathed in comparison to the obliteration in the North. So Australia being isolated and a rich country will emerge as a new world order and sanction for Britts, Canadians, the UK and Americans to live and work. The Britts know this and are immigrating here by the thousands, better jump on board !

By defination it will be a global war. Probably all first and second rate world powers will be involved. Doubt that much of the 3rd world would be as war is simply too expensive and they have enough problems feeding their populations and trying to provide services.
Based on current technology, it will be very nasty and ugly. The death rate from combat will be very high. Likely weapons of mass distruction will be employed. Nuclear weapons are most likely to be used by the losing side to try to change the course of the war.
Based on this-WW III is going to ugly and nasty and as a result WW IV will be fought with clubs

The new Allies: USA ,Russia, Europe, India, S.Korea, Japan
Bush's evil axis: the Islamic countries(some of whom are good friends of the US Govt.), China (accorded Most Favored Nation by Bush right now), N.Korea.
It would probably be a religious spark or civil unrest in Europe which cud begin WW3, just as in the previous 2 wars.

IF there is one and I don't believe there will be within my lifetime....then by definition we would be in a WORLD War....right?
Who else.....The west vs the middle-east because that is where it will start. The wild card will be China since I think they will try to grab everything within their region. I do think that Russia might be dumb enough to side with the middle east although they might just be able to try neutrality.
What will it be like....unimaginable as it will go nuclear.

There ain't gonna be a WWIII,countries are not isolated from each other like in the past,we are all in bed with each other,there will always be localized small wars but no global wars are possible anymore.

people are just afraid at what may happen. US is not the only nation with nukes no mor but is the most effective one. China is growing to be a super power and as we all know you cannot have to rooster in the ring and no expect them to fight but it will not happen the world has to much to loose.

There will be no WWIII. People aren't that stupid. They will continue to fight local wars that have negative impact on the global economy.
