is it so weird that im just a week away from my 18th bday and absolutely will NOT date anyone under 30yrs.?

Then whats the problem, date men over 30 and dont worry about it. Plenty of women like older men, some because they are really looking for a father figure or characteristics of their fathers, others because they just like older men. Then of course older men are more mature than the under 30s men.
Think about why you actually prefer older men and go with it. But remember SOME older men have a way to manipulate and use younger girls. A freind of mine once dated a man old enough to be her father and all it was for him was a power kick as to how he could attract younger women to show off to his mates. Still if this is yoru preference, go for it and Good luck.

That's because as far as maturity you find more in common with the older guys. Their attitudes are more in tune with yours. Don't get to much of a hurry to settle down yet though. You need at least another 8 to 9 years of dating before you should think about anything long term. Trust this from a guy that married a young wife and divorced her 15 years later because she found she wanted to live the single life she missed in her twenties. No, that is not weird at all. When you turn 18, you will be considered an adult. Whoever you are attracted to or who you decide to date is up to you. After you turn 18 I don't think age really matters. I have dated younger and older losers and younger and older nice guys. Like at any age you just have to use good judgment and good common sense.

We all have our individual tastes. On a "weirdness scale" of 1-10, where 1 is a Hollywood romance and 10 is being spanked by a midget with a Jello paddle while dressed as a rabbit, I'd say you're at about a 2. Don't worry about it. If people have a problem with your tastes, it is their problem.

Think about WHY you want to date 30+ guys. Once you find out why you are so attracted to them, you can search for these traits in other guys closer to your age. I would strongly advise against dating a thirty year old when your not even twenty. You are at different places in your life, concerned about different things.

Personally, I don't think age plays a factor in dating and relationships. My fiance is 12 years older then me ( I am 28 though) and I love it. He is mature enough to know how to treat me like a woman and yet he enjoys going to the clubs with me just for an example. So, I believe it is all up to the individual of whom they want to date. Remember, the saying "you have to be happy to make others happy"....

It's not weird, just unusual. Older men can be a source of great joy to a girl of your age as they're mature and have got over the macho hoon thing and are able to appreciate a real woman.

Not weird at all. However, don't put a cap on the age. You might meet the most wonderful guy who is only *gasp* 28. I was the same way at your age, ended up marrying a guy older than me. It was a wise decision, I still marvel at my good luck and good taste.
