LOL!
A couple of my dogs have done that in the past. They tend to come out with no issues. Just keep an eye on him, and from now on, keep your bathroom door shut when you're "in heat". ;)

This is fairly common. You are in heat and your dog is interested. It's GROSS, but it won't kill him since it's only one. Keep them away from him in the future and just keep an eye on him tonight and tomorrow. Make sure he has a bowel movement tomorrow. If he doesn't you may want to contact the vet about a laxative. Most dogs rip them up but actually eat very little of the cotton stuffing. The ones that eat ALL of the cotton sometimes need a "lube job".

Please call the vet immediately and ask whether you should bring him in. If they say no, monitor him closely and call back if you notice changes such as lethargy, lack of appetite, or not drinking. My aunt and uncle's dog has swallowed socks and underwear, and while they usually pass okay, there is a risk of complications. Because the maxi pads often have sodium polyacrylate, a type of superabsorbant polymer, they pose a bigger threat to your dog than a sock would as this substance can absorb fluid from your dog's body and swell, making it difficult to pass normally.

If he shredded it and chomped on the pieces I wouldn't worry. He's more likely to have a problem if he swallowed one whole. Call your vet in the morning, they will either ask you bring him hin or tell you how to watch for adverse symptoms.

I have a 30 lb female hound mix that has stolen and swallowed whole tampons. Yuck but they passed right through. Get a small foot pedal operating trashcan for the bathroom or keep the door closed.

If it was swallowed without being shredded could cause a major issue, it is easier to remove while in the stomach than if it gets stuck in the intestines, which means a bigger vet bill, so waiting could cost you more if a blockage occurs

Oooooh, my, goodness. Perhaps poor a lot of oil down there as well? Sounds like a-and-see to see if it come out. or the dog starts to hurt (like stuck in the intestine) - which means operation. The only advice I have is the dog ate all my orange ear plugs - and they ALL came out later.....

dogs are predators, yet they are also opportunistic scavengers. They smell blood and without be conscious products that that they had oftentimes sniff and bypass up become a dull or wounded animal to them. i'm no longer certain the thanks to get rid of them the position the dogs won't be able to get to them. in case you purchased a coated trash can that they had in simple terms knock it over and dad the right off. the in simple terms element i can advise is even as there are used sanitary napkins keep the trash in a room and block it off to the dogs. i attempted an similar element with my cat, who could commence pulling discarded food boxes out of the trash. She continues to be contained in the software room even as i'm in mattress or out of the domicile and now the trash continues to be the position I positioned it.

Probably not without some help. I would call the Vet first thing tomorrow a.m. The dog will not pass it without help. It could kill him. As anal (no pun intended) as I am with my dogs I would call the Vet tonight. I wouldn't sleep all night.

Yes, they pass even the most embarrasing things, but I would guess a maxi would embarrass me the most :-)

My unk's dogs didn't pass coins, so be concerned if you don't see any poop for a while.......

I'm with Martinamagrace on this one.

Get your dog to a vet. Do you REALLY want to risk its life to save a few bucks?
