and don't tell me it just happens. An elaborate system of justice (i'd love to say punishments but you seem to have a reaction to this word and I would like to keep you on track and not rambling) based on merits and demerits does not just happen.

I would have to say inertia.
in physics when you apply a force on a body, it applies the same force back to you.

Same way your reactions in the universe revert back to you

So maybe it should be called " spiritual inertia" or "metaphysical inertia"

I see that you're rather belligerently throwing down the glove of challenge in the way you're asking the question, Mr Dog! But I'll answer anyway :-)
Actually, it may just be that there is an elaborate system of justice - punishment if you like, although it's mainly those of the Hebraic religions who tend to delight in the word - in 'the other world'. If so, then it's self-controlling. Each of us decides just how much we have learned and earned in a each lifetime, and to whom we owe reparation, if there is to be any. There may be an hierarchy above those making the initial decisions, and governing, or mentoring the souls doing the learning.
The above them, there may be . . . . .and so on. It's like the fleas*.
So what happens when we've gained so much wisdom we don't need human form any more? Maybe we move on up to the bottom rung of the next ladder.
It's what I believe, but as in all things esoteric, I may be quite wrong. In this world no-one can prove that either way. I'll find out one day. In the meantime, I'm having fun with this Life. This is where I am, and this is where I relate to right now.

Nobody doles out karma. Karma is the result of mechanics where an action ( physical, mental or speech ) made receives a reaction.

Like if you hit someone, dont cry murder if they hit back... the "hitting back" is the result from that karmic action. Or create industries that harm or wreck the eco system.... the earth reacts with crazy weather and natural disasters. Natural order of things. You should read up further on the mechanics of what karma really is... first. Its a tad obvious, you don't really comprehend the concept of karma yet....

Karma is not some physical gambling chip or "star" sticker you get from some almighty being for writing a great essay in school.

I wouldn't consider myself buddhist even tho my beliefs most closely follow this religion. Karma is only partly true. Instead, there is something called the law of intention. You must realize that we are all made of matter which vibrates at the molecular level. Even the densest atom is made of light. By being pure in our motives, this resonates all the way down to the subatomic level, clears out the self-absorbation, (or put another way sin), and allows room for finer wavelengths. (states of well-being.) Any physicists knows that the faster something vibrates, the more information it can hold. This is how people open up to being psychic, the universe will only grant what you can handle. Quite simply, the more pure you are in your motives, the closer you are to GOD. Of course the opposite is true. GOD doesn't punish people, we punish ourselves because desicions tend to be based on earlier ones. (The average momentum of vibration). You attract actions by those who are on the same 'wavelength' as you. This wouldn't work if we didn't live in one big matrix.

Crank up your vibration level to infinity and you reach GOD. Buddhism will also teach you that thought/desire have the lowest vibrational rate. It's really that simple.

Why do say 'if there is no God.' Buddhists do believe in central creator...don't know where you got that from?

I am not a clever buddhist but i am an Asian who knows a bit of buddha teaching of karma
According to Buddhisme karma is the law of nature
when u plant a seed of Apple u will get an apple fruits when u plant a banana than u will get a banana , it means whatever u do, whether it is good or bad in the end it will come back to u . that is Karma
(not Punishment from God or anything )

It's the natural order of things- as much a law as the law of gravity. It's just the way the world operates.

Next time you're going to ask a question like this please include what religion you adhere too. That way I can make fun of your beliefs too.
