Why is it that when someone asks for your honest opinion, you give it to them and then they report abuse? A person asked if I thought their joke was funny and all I said was that I didnt get it nor find it funny, then I got a violation. Ive received far worse answers from some of the questions Ive asked!!!

Because people are dumb. They really DON'T ask questions on here- for honest answers. They want you to AGREE with their point of view. And when you DON'T- they get bent out of shape! Try not to let it bother you... Remember- all's "fair" in Love & Yahoo Answers! :)

Lots of people seem to be so full of themselves that they only ask questions expecting support to their position, no matter how flimsy their position is.

Some just seem to go wild when you criticize them! I had a stalker once who was furious with me because I didn't think she should go tell off her elderly neighbors for sending the "same exact Christmas card" two years in a row. She even checked the batch number, so she knew she was getting old cards!!! Can you imagine. So she told everyone I was sending porno things to her site.

No telling why violations are handed out the way they are! I have been awful and not heard a peep out of them recently. I think you should contest the violations.

I Know, i asked a very serious, important question 2 nights ago, something that would not have offended anyone and i got violated. Fortunately I Know who reported me HaHaHaHa!
And he will get a touch of "what goes around comes around".
Sucks though that some one can put a link on here to a porno website and get away with it totaly violating community guidelines but innocent questions get reported?????????

I agree and it has happened to me as well. The people that monitor the board need to actually decide if you violated YA community rules. I checked my violations against the rules and found that I should not have been reported. It's a flaw they might want to address.

Some people get a little weird on here. I got a violation for saying that the confederate flag might be associated with whi*e tr*sh. See, I'm still afraid to write it. I might get another violation.

Whether it's on here or in person, when people ask for opinions, it's almost always because they're seeking a certain answer. They want to hear the person agree with them. That's just how we are.

Many people have feelings of insecurity They can not handle the truth. What they are really looking for is some kind of reassurance that what they are doing is right.

I read what your answer was on the joke, and there is nothing at all wrong with that. The system has a problemO>

Some people just can't handle the truth, and they are punishing you for not agreeing with them.

well i believe it's because some people can be blunt or straight up rude.

but if you just disagreed what they 'joked' about and they report you for abuse... that's just stupid...
