Last names don't have a translation to other languages.
However Smith is a common last name in the states so I believe the translation to spanish would be Perez which is a common last name in Latin America and Spain.
John Smith = Juan Perez

Usually names have no translation. But the equivalent name in Spanish to the smith profession is herrero, and Herrera is the equivalent name to Smith. In Portuguese ( my MT) it's Ferreira.

Many names in one language do not directly translate to other languages, and one would simply use the same name, but it might sound different, because the person would be using their native pronunciation. Therefore Smith would be Smith, but a Hispanic person might say it something like "Smit."

I don't think the spanish language has a "th" sound. But smith could sound like "smeet". It wouldn't be translated, it's just a name.

Name/surnames are in principle not transalted.
