You can find God's message everywhere. The question is are you listening for it. Some people will only accept God's messages if they hear them in church, or from a priest or minister or read them in the Bible.

I believe that you receive messages from God when you hear a random comment from a stranger that makes you think, or when you see children playing together without thinking about who's got more money, or who's a member of which race. A television show talking about a place where people need a something that you can offer.

Or you can hear God in a mass or a guided Buddhist meditation or a story from the Mahabharata. You can do it by sitting quietly and listening to some trees, watching squirrels run up and down trees, or a couple of slugs on a walk through the woods.

You can find God and God's messages everywhere and from almost anyone because God is everywhere. But, are you willing to hear, no matter where you find them?

I find God's messages everywhere.

Sometimes He brings people into my life. I know when a person is "one of His". They are few and far between, so not everybody gets that classification. Many times, the person is one with a need that I can address. Sometimes the person is here to teach me something. Somtimes the person is an answer to a prayer. My wife is "one of His".

Sometimes His messages arrive in the form of choices I must make. Not every choice, but I know He presents me with life choices from time to time. Maybe to see that I have learned something, or to prove to myself that I learned it. I imagine He already knows, but it is actually I that need to understand.

Sometimes, when I pray, I get the answer right away. Sometimes the answer takes a while to get here. Sometimes the answer is "No". I still argue with Him once in a while, especially with the NO answers. He has changed His mind once or twice. On those rare occasions, I eventually understood why the answer was NO in the first place, so I am learning to just accept the answer and move on to something else.

I really do wish sometimes that this whole communication thing worked more like talking on the Phone. When you are hearing a physical voice, it is much more difficult to deny.

My answers from God come to me as more of a "Knowing" the answer. I ask a question, and soon, the answer is just there. I turn it around in my head a while, but the answer sticks.

This is different from ideas I think up on my own. They change and evolve and sometimes disappear entirely. God's answers remain unchanged. They will not go away. They can get nagging if I ignore them. That is how I can tell.

God's Holy Word. When I read it the Holy Spirit fills me with such Power and Spirit that I can hardly contain it all. As the old Gospel song says "I am drinking from the saucer 'cause my cup is running over" Praise God! Praise God!
God has Blessed me in this answer and I Pray that you feel the Spirit of God when you read it.

First off, i am agnostic, but i can relate.

every once in a while, I'll see or hear something, or just follow a line of reasoning to a point where i find something that resonates with me. i can find no other way to describe it. it just feels right. i like to call them Truths. they might be simple or complex, but usually they tie in with previous Truths i have discerned. an example that resonated particularly with me was this:

We are all the same.

simple, right? but think about it. all the same. all human. we all want the same kinds of things for ourselves. just because someone is different does not mean they are not human. they go through the same things as you do, they bleed the same way that you do. even those of us who do evil things are, at their core, human. it does not excuse what they may have done, but at least you can understand. and it is hard to condemn someone you understand.

that is just one example. they strike me sometimes, at random moments, usually when my mind is just wandering. if there is a god, then these are His words to me.

Much is found in the bible. The Holy Spirit, through other godly people, sometimes even circumstance. One time I was strugging with something and one guy I knew who was a Christian came up to me and told me, I just feel like I have to tell you something, and it was an answer to a question I was struggling with. I started crying because it was so dead on exact.

God communicates with me through the bible and prayer. You might find a verse that is appropriate for a situation you are going through.

Not through words or Bibles or sermons on Sunday....through the way the wind feels on my face, the particular colors of a sunset on a particular day....the chirp of a bird outside....I think He (or whatever power one believes in) can give subtle hints or moments of peace through the beauty that is around always and yet we only notice it when things are at their worst....and then things seem just a little brighter, the day isn't as bad as it was.

I most often find god's word scrawled in the toilet stalls of Interstate rest areas. How proud he must be of his followers.

God lives and speaks to us through his word. He can use other people to give us direction. If we are willing to listen he speaks in many different ways. He can reveal something through his word, through someones prayers or our own..With me if he is telling me something, which is usually a tug at my heart to do something and I dont listen, then I missed out on his blessing. If I listen and do what he says then he blesses .He works in mysterious ways and everyone is different..Its usually when you least expect it .
