Pancake make-up...
Anywhere skin shows, apply make-up.
Think about your favourite female artist (singer / actress / whatever). Her makeup when she's wearing that revealing dress does not stop at her chin. It goes UNDER the dress/underwear.
If your prom dress is low-cut in the front and back, apply your make-up while sitting infront of your mirror *before* you put your bra on, since you will probably have to apply to areas that will otherwise be covered. As a rule of thumb, 1-2 inches into the clothes, and heven help you if the dress is a light colour!
It's amazing the things you can learn at the movies! lol
This is, of course, assuming it is still "bad" come prom night...and none of the remedies listed above have "cured" the situation.
Oh - a *mild * exfoliant might help...and when I say mild, I MEAN mild...no point in irritating the skin further, or causing blood to come by damaging the skin.

eventually it will come back to your original color but it may take time, not in a week.
for your prom night, try to get tanning product available in the market that suits your skin color. using facial powder on the spot might be helpful too...
just be careful with some products coz your skin is still sensitive, it may cause irritation and make your skin worse than before.

Try aloe vera to heal the burn.
If that doesn't work in time, you can try dabbing concealer or powder on the area to bring the discoloration to a color closer to your surrounding skin tone.

It burns a tiny bit but dab some vinegar on it, white vinegar is the best and your sunburn will be gone within a few days, as for the colour of your skin that's the sunburns, as I said vinegar will take care of everything!

sorry this happened to you, my daughter had this happen and she used aloe vera and her skin got bettter in two weeks. It does take time to have your skin heal. Keep using the aloe vera and your skin will be less dry and peeling.

Time and a lot of Aloe.
You could get so burned that you might develop Melanoma later in life.
Then the morgue would have to notify your next of skin.
