Nope. He was thoroughly flogged, crucified, and he got a spear driven into Him. Where is the reasoning that roman spears were very flimsy? The roman empire was extremely powerful and expanded their domain through war. People with flimsy, problem prone weapons did not protect and fight for one of the greatest empires that the world has ever known. If Christ hadn't died on the cross then the wounds He had amassed during leading up to, during, and after His crucifixion would have surely been infected. Knowing the medical practices of the time He would most certainly have died shortly after. Your reasoning is entirely without any evidence to support it or even suggest its practicality.

2 major points you neglect
1) He was stabbed in the heart and water and blood came out. That means his heart literally burst, typically people die of suffocation but it appears he died from heart failure. (Note: in Isaiah it says the Messiah's heart has turned to wax when he is sacrificed for sin)
2) The Romans were professional killers. They were very good at it. Their lives were also on the line. If they crucified someone and they saw him walking around three days later, THEY WOULD BE KILLED. They always made sure the person was dead. That is why they stabbed him in the heart even after they thought he might have been dead - they always made sure!
And just think logically.... Do you think three days after being crucified, stabbed in the heart, whipped terribly, etc, that he just got up after three days, stood before the disciples, walked around the area, walked to the see the disciples at the water............ I don't care how strong-willed someone is, you will not simply be up and walking after being stabbed in the heart, even with all the modern medical technology. There is no doubt he could not have survived the crucifixion.

But He did die is why when they broke the legs of the thieves on the cross so they would die quicker so they could take them off the cross, they did not have to break Jesus' legs because He was dead. And to assure this, they speared His side and knew He was dead. You can use human reasoning to try to deny anything, but Truth is Truth here. Can I say "Oh yea of little Faith?" If you just don't want to believe, that's your choice, but search the consequences, OK?

the line in the bib;le where the roman soldier srives his spear through Jesus heart tends to indicate that Jesus was indeed dead when taken from the cross. The line says " and blood and water ran out " This indicates the piercing of the pericardium ( the water filled sac that houses the heart.) and the heart itself with the spear.

The Romans didn't break His legs because He was already dead, they broke the legs of both thieves to make sure they were dead or dying. Now the punishment for sleeping for a Roman guard was death...they risked that to say they fell asleep...Think maybe someone scared the living daylights out of them?

There were plenty of signs to show that He was in fact dead. One, they placed a spear in His side, and blood and water gushed out. That's a sign of death. Furthermore, they didn't break His legs on the cross to hasten death, like they did with the other 2 thieves. Why? Because He was already dead. Also, you don't bury people who are still alive. They buried Him in the tomb because He was dead.
But thank God He's no longer dead. He's Alive!

at the same time as Muslims quote a passage from the Bible(it extremely is corrupted) declaring that Jesus did not die, they ought to also quote many different passages interior a similar Bible that prophesied the shortcoming of life of Jesus. the fact is, Jesus got here to die and be resurrected and without this act, there should be no Christianity on the instant. it really is compared to Islam whose followers spread their faith by technique of conquering different individuals and compelling them to grow to be Muslims. you spot, After Jesus became crucified and buried, his followers were damaged and hid remote from the customary public trembling with concern. the religion became misplaced. notwithstanding after Jesus confirmed himself resurrected from the useless, energy became renewed and the disciples boldly and fearlessly went practise the gospels to each and each and every nook of the properly-known international. Even the Quran says that Jesus died and ascended into Heaven yet Muslims ignore about that verse. Muslims no longer stick with the Quran; they mainly stick with the Hadiths which no longer merely makes Jesus inappropriate yet besides makes their own prophet right into a monster. from time to time i ask your self juist what Muslims extremely have self assurance.
