I recieved an invitation to an awards dinner for a community college EOP&S awards dinner. It is for low income and disadvantaged students. It is being held at the local Cal State and on the RSVP it says the attire is semi formal. What exactly does that mean. I usually wear Big Dog Tshirts and Jeans. Would a Button up shirt and jeans be okay or do I need to do more?

well it basically is what is says!!! Some horses are very docile and submissive to the humans request - whilst some will always remain boystorous and a bit wild! Some trainers believe that a semi-wild horse is best as they maintain a bit of an attitude and are not under the riders thumb so to speak and are not as quiet and obedient as other horses who would be. Semi wild horses can be dangerous depending on what level they take this wildness to - bucking/rearing/bolting is not acceptable - but some semi wild horses mayb just enjoy taking the mick now and again - for example refusing to be caught! Hope this gives you a better understanding of it! xx

Semi-formal is usually one step down from a tux for a guy. I would not wear jeans. Dark colored slacks would be best, khakis at the very least but you'll probably feel under dressed if you do.

Semi-formal usually refers to (for gentlemen) slacks (can be khakis), sport coat, shirt and tie..for ladies it would be a short dressy dress or what we call in the South "a Church dress"..hope this helps

Semi-Formal...tie (optional in some cases - ask) and suit jacket, dress shirt and pants, black or brown shoes, black socks.

In short, what could comfortably be considered border-line office wear. Jeans are a definate no-no.

No jeans, no tuxedo, a nice suit would be fine. It would also give you the room to dress down if others were a little more casual. Definately no jeans though. I hope that helps.

Not too formal. Maybe a button up shirt and jeans would be ok.
