Depends on if you have kids. If you do have younger children, it would smarter to get a beagle. They are more kid friendly than pit bulls are. But if your kids are older or you don't have kids at all, go for the pitbull. Make sure to take the pit bull to obedience training. Then they will be well mannered around other people. Hope this helped. Good luck!!!!

Their personalities are different so it depends on what you are actually looking for. I own three pit bulls and wouldn't want any other breed. But you need to be aware of what you are getting into when you get a pit, they require a lot of work, exercise and understanding.

I have not tried pit bull, yet. However, I find beagle to have a somewhat gamey flavor resembling spotted owl. As would be expected it has much less fat than baby seal.

A Beagle. I don't really have anything against pit bulls...but they can be scary..the ones who were brought up that way. Beagles are so fun loving and adorable! You just want to pick 'em up and kiss them to death! They are awesome dogs.

The comments about pitbulls mauling u and being mean are by ignornant people and obviously by people who have never owned one. I have a pitbull and a yorkie and i love them both to death and woulnt trade EITHER. And my yorkie is more likely to bite u than my pit. lol. But, a pitbull is alot of work. You have to be able to socialize it everyday, train it(which can be a job in itself) and be able to spend alot of time with it. They are also very sensitive creatures. They usually have sensitive stomach and skin. You'll also have to be willing to spend some money for a good dog. You dont want to get one from a backyard breeder, cuz then it'll be trouble. They are very loyal(which is y people use them to fight, they will do whatever it takes to please their owner) and they are EXTREMELY affectionate if u show them the same kind of love. They are good with kids, if u raise them to be. Any dog will be mean to a kid, if they're not socialize right. They will treat u how u treat them. Literally. If u dont have the time to socialize or train the dog, the a beagle will probably be better for you. :)
If need more info on pits, feel free to message me.

Beagle, because pit bulls tend to be aggressive and beagles are generally mellow and calm animals.

We own a Beagle. And she couldn't be trained by bad owners to maim or kill anyone no matter how hard someone tried to train her to.

You don't have to take insurance out on a Beagle...."just in case" (like many Pitt owners do).
