Yes, and trust that you are forgiven and don't keep thinking about it or beat yourself up over it after you feel you are forgiven. Remember not to do it again and again because that means you are not really sorrowful of your sin.

Yes.

James 5:16 - Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

2 Peter 3:9 - The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Catholics partake in the Sacrament of Reconciliation (or Confession). They pass to a small room (a confessional) and confess their sins to a clergyman. There are some concepts- they could do it anonymously (there's a demonstrate screen) and the penitent confesses to a clergyman. There became an complicated prayer earlier starting up, now they merely communicate. an option decision is to do it face-to-face. The priest listens, provides penance (usually a chain of prayers). from time to time the penance is to face as a lot because the issue- like apologizing to someone, as an celebration. clergymen undergo extremely some practise and practise at the same time as in the seminary. maximum are very comprehend-how. If a parishioner feels he/she isn't getting the help he/she needs, then, there is the alternative of searching for help from outdoors the parish. from time to time the Bishop receives in contact, yet usually it is going to likely be yet another priest from yet another parish or from the Diocese. A Diocese is a wide geographical section made up of multiple parishes frequently from many counties in a particular area of the state. there's a large hierarchy in the Catholic Church. from time to time it really is sensible, different circumstances, it merely receives in the way. style of like how authorities officials run issues! i'm hoping this facilitates.

You must also choose to positively respond to God's grace of forgiveness.

Holding iniquity in one's heart is kind of like what we so often see in the gay community, today.

It's personally identifying with a particular type of sin, not letting go of it, rationalizing it, and then, refusing to truly apologize and repent.

Anyone who falls into that trap willl likely be spending a lot of quality time with the devil, someday.

Yes. You must confess it and also ask for the strength to not recommit the same sin. Forgiveness only comes to you if your sorry and have no intent of doing the same thing over and over.

You can only be forgiven any sin if you repent, turn away from it, and ask God for forgiveness. You can confess and repent until the cows come home, but, if you keep repeating the sin, it's all in vain

(Prov. 28:13) . “He that is covering over [“who hides,” Lamsa] his transgressions will not succeed, but he that is confessing and leaving them will be shown mercy.”

You don't "JUST ASK".......you have to truly MEAN IT from your heart, If you are truly sorry for an action or deed, and the affect was that you would not repeat this, then you deserve to be forgiven, but no one person has the right to forgive OR CONDEMN

Unless, of course, you keep repeating the same sin over and over again.
