Psalm 66:18,19
"If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear;
But certainly God has heard; He has given heed to the voice of my prayer."

It says if I "regard" iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me. Psalm 66:18. That means if I continue to harbor unconfessed sin in my life, my prayers will go unanswered. But to state that God will not hear a person who has sin in his or her heart, would mean that no one could ever be saved. There's a scripture in John 9:31...Now we know that God does not hear sinners; But those words were not spoken by Jesus, and therefore should not be taken as truth.
Again, sin does affect our relationship with God. (Isaiah 59:1-2; 1 John 3:20-22), but God will hear and answer your prayers if you go to Him with a sincere heart.

well of course.. if you have iniquity in your heart during prayer, it is the devil causing that. God will not hear your prayers. If you come to Him sincerely, wholeheartedly, and with belief and trust that He will answer your prayer, He will answer it. God Bless!!!

OH so that's why my prayer weren't answered, my heart drips iniquity. I call my friends house the Den of Iniquity.

Yes I do know it says that- and the only way we can be free from sin is through Jesus Christ- and then because of His righteousness God will hear us- granted we must keep ourselves from sinning but without Christ's sacrifice and our acceptance of that sacrifice we are still in sin.

What is iniquity? How do you know if you have it? and how do you get rid of it?

Then we are all in trouble...because all humans have iniquity in their hearts...just by being human...Christ saves us...God saves us...not because we are deserving...but because we ask...God (how ever we conceive Him/her/It) will bring us home...

So....he doesn't listen to anyone's prayers, since everyone is a sinner?
Good thing I don't pray....I don't have to worry about it.
