Keep a list of your sins in one book, and then a list of your good deeds in another. Then every week, take inventory and as long as the good deeds outnumber the sins, you are sure to get into heaven. Do this every Friday, that way you'll know if you have to go out and hustle for good deeds all day on Saturday. That's the cut off for the week. It must be done each week or it won't count. You can't wait till the end of your life to keep score. [do you see metaphore here?] Go in peace my brother.

You will get to heaven when the time is right for you. If you sin too much in this life, the worst that will happen is that you will have to come back and do it better next time.

God can't stand sin and that's why he sent Jesus to take our sin away. If you really want to know God and be right with him then you will try your best to avoid sin, this doesn't mean you won't sin but when you do you're forgiven. But as someone who knows and is forgiven by God you would want to obey his commands wouldn't you? That would therefore mean that you try to avoid sin!
If you claimed to be a Christian yet showed none of the signs of having a relationship with God or following his way then people would surely question your commitment to him.
God looks for direction not perfection cos he knows we're not capable of that. Have your heart set on what God wants and you'll discover that sin is something you don't need in your life, I know it's hard but you have to try :)

With a heart full of wrong motives as such, you won't go to heaven. You cannot willingly, knowingly continue to sin and be forgiven. And if you're not forgiven, then ya won't enter those pearly gates. Repentence is needed which is the willingness to change! Remember Jesus' words to the prostitute that the people were about to stone to death? "Go and sin NO MORE" Doesn't mean you will be perfect and never sin again (we all fall short of the glory of God), but it does mean you won't deliberately go on with a sinful life without the desire and willingness to change with the strength and help from The Lord.

From what I understand about the Bible, God looks at our heart and our intentions. Accidental sin is one thing, but deliberate sin is a very different situation. So, if it's a case where a person is doing something deliberate and asks forgiveness, is that person really sincere, or just asking forgiveness to avoid punishment?
God's grace in forgiving us comes in when we are truly sincere and remorseful in repenting of our sin.
So, if it's a case of trying to see what a person can get away with, I don't think that God's grace covers it. But if it's a person who made a mistake and/or realizes they were wrong afterwards, I believe that God will forgive that person and they will go to heaven.

None. If you'll read the few pages at the beginning of the Bible you'll notice that it only took a single sin to damn all of humanity forever. The only way to get into heaven is to repent of your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your Savior. Once you've done that then He will wipe away your sins and you'll be good to go.

there is no limit, any sin done deliberately for the intention of harming anything or anyone nulls your ticket to heaven.
However repentance can turn the tables but it must be sincere, and not done just to gain entry to heaven. But genuinely because you actually feel that you have wronged .

All of it, can't you? I thought that was the whole idea of religion. Sin as much as you want, ask for forgiveness, and as long as you claim to believe in god, get a free ticket to heaven. Meanwhile, us poor deluded non-religious souls are headed straight to hell, no matter how much we may be 'good' people. Must be good to be religious.
