Is anyone else considering taking a break from Y!A R&S because of the outrageous abuse of the report function?

People are dropping like flies because uptight butthole trolls can't stand that some of us don't agree with them, and Yahoo is doing jack crap about it. Godzilla, Laptop Jesus, Acid Zebra, and my very first account was deleted due to numerous baseless, bogus reports.

By the way, I don't know if I'm actually taking a sabbatical, but I'm seriously considering it and wanted to know if anyone else was as well.

I'm not as active as I used to be. I take a week or two off now and then for my own sanity.

I still enjoy coming here, but I don't answer as many questions as I used to, especially the "why are atheists here" and "if man evolved from monkeys why are there still monkeys" variety. I look for more original questions, or a new slant on the old standards.

I have found this place useful for clarifying my own thoughts about my atheism, and refining some of my arguments. Have I changed any "true believers" minds? Unlikely, but I still think it is important for the atheists to have a voice.

I actually haven't had any violation notices for several months, and I don't think I have been any less challenging. There was a huge problem back in October-December when a lot of the regular atheists gave up and left. I am still working on my original account with Yahoo, believe it or not.

Ill be honest - Im right there with you. I posted a question the other day that was basically playing semantics, but gave "proof" for non-existence. I got 9 responses that consisted of "dumass", "ur retard" "shut up" "fool" "idiot" etc. I later got my question deleted with out any reason...

Im fed up too. This is my third incarnation of YDoncha. I WANT to take a break too.

So I tried. And I cant. This place is like a fu*kin succubus...it keeps you coming back for more abuse, over and over.

See ya Monday....

Yes, they either get the people they don't like deleted or they make clones out of them. I wish these people had better things to do with their life that harass us.

Zero Cool, you will be missed greatly if you leave.

Dang, Yahoo won't take the star I am trying to give your question, how odd is that?

Bye. good riddings. I won't miss you because I didn't know you existed. My faith in the Creator grows stronger every time I come here. Atheists teach me about stupidity. Muslims about hatred and anger. Jews about our ancestors. I enjoy it here. TO each their own. My faith in God doesn't harm me or anyone else in any way. I don't feel my faith is a waste of time. If I'm wrong and no higher power exists, I will die and rot and never know anything about it again. No harm no fowl.

For about two weeks I also was the bane of their existance...

Funnily enough, this week they seem to be ignoring me while two weeks ago I couldn't even sneeze without a Yahoo Deletion Report fo some kind...

I'd understand why you'd leave, esp. since they never get back to you or explain their deletion policy, the bastards...

Yes apparently I'm not Christian enough for them, I'm getting violations too. I'm going on vacation for a few days late next week. I'll see how things are when I get back. Hope to see everyone will still be here.

Funny how I haven't really heard of any prominent Christians getting the boot. Could there be a correlation...?

Then I feel loved....occasionally reported, but never once deleted (knock on wood).
