As spiritually void as I am, why can't preachers either put the fear of god in me, or exorcise the "demons" that keep me from turing to god?

well if you haven't noticed it only seems that demons only possess people that are really into their religion. so that right there messes your chances up of ever having an exorcism performed on you. they only care about their own and if you aren't christian and exhibit symptoms of an exorcism they will just say you are crazy...

yes it did. During my early days in witch craft I remembered falling into a depression. I then had knew I had a demon inside me so I went out and bought lotus scented incense and prayed for 10 days. Then suddently I felt something burst from inside me as if it was Aliens the movie and felt a cold presence in the room with me. Soon after I heard pounding noises from the room. The demon was traped but eventally got away.

Go to a church that has the Holy Spirit moving (a full gospel). Ask them to pray over you. You'll be free quickly. Don't go to some old dead dried up church that is as dead as a doornail.
Call before you go if that will make you feel better. A Pastor will be happy to help you. This is nothing new to them. They've seen it all.

expelling demons and many other wonderful works of the Lord still happen to this day, Jesus never gets equal time in the media, this is satans world but thats only temporary(and they lived happily ever after)

it's your choice to accept Jesus or not.
man can't put Godly fear in you,
and demons believe and tremble, ever read wear they asked to be cast into the pigs?
or cried out Jesus son of God what have we to do with you?
read the bible it will give you the fear of God

you can phone for an excisim from some churches preachers. Maybe you oughta call them to get the demons out of you

You have to be open to God. You can't expect a priest to just beat you over the head with a Bible and ta-da! Instant Christian(TM). You have to be willing to seriously accept Him yourself.

i think others here have answered you well, and it looks to me that maybe deep down in side you are longing for all this Christian stuff to be true???? i just kinda feel that from your question. if so THATS WONDERFUL!!!!! oh, it is true, if He could save me and the way I was(and some of the ways i still am, but I am the clay and He is still molding me), I know He is real and true!!!

Exorcisms are still officialy practiced in both Catholocism and Protestantism.....So, yes they are alive and well.
Get on your knees and seek God....He is waiting for you.
