How do you compare the two? I'd agree with your statement very broadly, since most atheists in the US are former Christians, but I'd like to see how you would set up that comparison.

Atheists and Christians are human. They are all different. Some Atheists may a lot about the bible and some may know nothing. The same goes with Christians and Evolution.
Then again. Evolution is taught in most schools. The bible and religion is not.

We all study evolution in some point of our life, I am not sure all Atheist read the Bible.
Generally I would say that Christians know more about the evolution than Atheists know about the Bible...but here in Answers I see a lot of Bible quoting Atheists. I think it is a good thing. : )

I think atheists think they know about the Bible but have not done the study necessary to understand the culture and concepts. Their comments show this repeatedly.
I think many Christians have not done the research necessary to understand what the theory of evolution says. They have not gove into detail but know the basics.
Generally, I think neither knows as much about the other as they think they do.

Without doubt atheists are far more knowledgeable about the Bible than Christians--after all---it was through completely reading the Bible that converted theists into atheists in the first place.

Not from what I've read here. It's a pretty even mix if ignorance and bias.
Although it's obvious that many Athiests THINK they know more about the Bible than they actually do.

From what I have seen on here, yes, definitely. Most non-religious people have extensive study in religions where religious people have most of theirs through their religious texts only. A lot of them even claim that "no such thing" is in their holy book, when, in fact, it is.
