You would probably want something that would contrast: A deep green or rose for instance. Or even blue, depending on how you mean to decorate your dining room and kitchen.

Your home needs color, try light colors to go with the beige.
Kitchen: A cheerful yellow or green. Maybe curtains with nice decorations on them to add some life.

Diningroom: I like light colors. So I would stay with a nice light green or yellow. Or orange.
The dark reds and blues are too depressing.

Try a purple or a rich maroon or burgundy.
Cool colors go best with warm colors. This is if your walls are on the darker side.
For a lighter sandy beige, certian greens can be complimentary.

Yellow is an inviting and cheerful color.
Don't do Blue... it is the color that has been scientifically proven to steer ppl away from enjoying their meals. The opposite would then be colors of food...reds, oranges, yellows, and greens..
Red/Orange Cinammon sounds like a warm and delicious color
Sage Green would be ideal for your new paint color
