No its not horrible at all...Just cherish all the memories while he is young...Save some of his school work so he can see it when he is older....Take plenty of pictures and keep all the memories alive...enjoy him while he is here with you..I only tell you this from experience..I wish i had my son here with me to at least tell him how much I love him..He was tragically taken from me in October...So therefore enjoy him live life to the fullest...
God bless~

Every parent feels the same way you do so no it's not horrible and it's worse with girls so consider yourself lucky. You can not shelter your children and make them stay little forever because this world is cruel and if they are sheltered then anyone can make them believe anything. Having another child is not the answer because they will grow up more quickly than the first because they will have a big brother who knows more than they do to teach them. Just enjoy his childhood as much as you can while it lasts and don't have regrets for all the things that you miss. There are still lots of new and exciting things he is yet to discover.

Hate to break it to you, but you can't stop time. I've tried..lol. My daughters are now almost 4, almost 6, and just turned 8, and everyday I wish I could turn them into babies again. The best you can do, short of having another baby and going thru the joy & heartbreak of watching that one grow up, too, is to just live for the moment with your son and be there in every way that you can and really enjoy his childhood while it's still there. Don't take anything for granted, and love him like he's the last little man on earth.

That is everyone, I think every parent would like to keep their child in a no grow up bubble but it happens just enjoy the time you have and try to guide him as he grows to do the right things and make the right choices. Don't keep him from growing up but at the same time Don't try to make him grow to quick, it is a hard line to find. I have a 12 yr old stepdaughter I have known her since she was 7 and I want to keep her how she was when I met her, she is in the middle phase part little girl and part wanting to grow up. Good luck and God bless

No its not horrible, its sweet. But that is impossible.Do fun stuff with him often so that as he grows both of you will have great memories to dwell on instead of having to dwell on how fast he grew up. Also just enjoy every single waking moment that you have with him in anyway possible.

I know its hard but by the time there 12 you will have learned to cope. Just cherish the present, and by the time there all grown up you wont feel left out.

Everyone feels like their kid is growing up so fast these days just laugh and cry for joy, do whatever makes you feel happy. Spend lots of time with him, kiss him and just tickle the crap outta him.

You can't and your job is to actually help them grow up.
Yes it's "horrible" for you to be thinking the way you are (your words not mine).
