ok so my ex took our son out of town for the weekend. His car broke down 15 miles from their destination. He calls me wanting me to travel 4 hours to take water and possible give him a jump. I told him to simply call a tow truck...which he did...When I explained this to the guy I am seeing he says yeah right-he just wanted to get you out there for romantic purposes....I dont believe this and so I asked my bro-in-law, he said the same thing...I asked my sisters and they say no, he is just stupid and could not figure out what to do.....would all guys really think that my ex had romantic interests at heart? I hope not. And what about the girls?

He atually got mad at me after I suggested tow truck and hung up on me. Then would not answer my calls for an hour. It never crossed my mind because he never shows any interest in me what so ever when he is around me. We have been apart 6 years or more-there is nothing there-why would I think this is what he had on his mind?

This seems to be a mars/ venus sort of thing. A woman being the nurturer seems to want to help and only sees the need to help. The man figures that all men want only one thing. This is so sad and only reinforces the negative stereotypes. Ask your ex what he had in mind and set him straight. Don't assume the worst, but don't put yourself in a bad situation.

Only you would know the answer to that, you know the guy better than us because it is your ex. Your current guy thnking the worst is normal, my guy would have been jealous and said the same thing. But it is true that a lot of males don't know what to do in a crisis situation and you say that after you told him to call a tow truck he did and didn't keep trying to persuade you to come, so it seems likely he was just a little lost. Just assure both guys that you will only give advice and help over the phone, and not in person and things will be fine either way.

The girls probably thought the same thing, but never said it. You will notice in life girls alway look for the bright side to things, guys on the other hand just jump on the bed(LOL!!)
I am a girl and I probably wouldn't think of that at first but after I thought about it, maybe yes. On the other hand maybe you were the first and only person that he wound trust to drive out there. If he made a bug fuss about calling a tow truck, guys win. if not Whoo-Hoo girls.

Your boyfriend is right and your sisters are clueless. He knew what to do better than you, so there is only one reason he called you. That you don't understand this doesn't speak well of you.
