Simple, First you should not violate GEN ORD #1 but if you do follow these simple steps. First MRE's are not the only food supply any more second if your not a POUGE and actually ever go outside the wire it is easy as hell to get pretty much and kind of adult beverage you could imagine from the locals kind of like our groups contact "Sharike" in an area near Tikrit 3.5 years ago. Second if you must make your own adult beverages it is real simple to make home made wine from peaches out of an MRE. Place all the peach packets you can in a very very strong container or 2 ct canteen than add sugar and yeast and bury in the desert. Second you can also use a radiator from a truck copper pipe and a "drop tank" off a MIG-15 (they can easily be found in Iraq) and build a still. Than go make friends with a KBR supply guy at the DFAC. You can make some seriously good shine. Trust me on this one.! Hope this answers your question..........Shadow Stalker

You can try fermenting some real fruit juice. Put some yeast in it, I'm not sure if it has to be brewers yeast or just plain yeast, and let it set for a few days. The yeast will turn the sugar that's in the juice into alcohol. It should do that anyway. I don't know how strong it will be, and it will have a yeasty flavor, unless you further refine or distill the stuff. If you don't have any yeast, you can try fermenting without adding any since there is probably yeast in the air naturally. I can't swear that will work for sure, though. But, I wish you luck.

Serious answer: Save up all the fruit/sugary stuff, any sweet stuff you can get. (It will take more than one MRE to do this) Get a jar, put the items in the jar, pour water so that it is covering them, let it ferment. It will need SOME air in the jar, so poke a hole in the lid. It is going to taste REALLY bad, and its going to take a long time. And if you get caught, you will most likely get in trouble, but I take it you are trying to make liquor for somewhere you arent supposed to have it in the first place, so Im sure you understand consequences and yada yada. That is how they do it in prison as well.

All it takes is a little imagination, and I would imagine that plenty of guys in Iraq have figured it out already.
We use to drill a hole in a coconut and fill it full of pancake syrup. Chop the top off a still growing pineapple, hollow it out some and fill with sugar. Then pin the top back on. I'm sure there are as many ways in the sandbox as we had in the jungle.

Headed to IRAQ? Don't forget General Order #1 over there. Sorry...I don't drink so I don't really have any idea regarding the MRE.

Avoid the trouble that this can cause. The amount of time to do something like this is bound to be noticed. Besides, you'll want to have a clear head anyway. Hangovers are a deathtrap "on the ground".

Ohhh i know! I'm making my own vodka and rum now...

You can use anything with starch or sugars...
Like potatoes, packs of sugar, syrup, honey, fruit...
(except stuff with citric acid like lemons and oranges)

Put them in a jar, (or canteen)
Cover them with water,
Put a lid or plastic bag over the jar,
Try to make it airtight but not to where it will burst,
Let air escape, but don't let air in. (oxygen will mess with it)

It should be ready when its not pressurizing anymore.

Message me if you want to know anything else
