A cheap and effective way to get rid of ringworm is to take a paper towel, wet it down with a mix of rubbing alcohol and water (mix of 1/3 works good), put baking soda on one side and wet down the baking soda until it turns into a think past. Don't put too much on or you'll wash it all off. Apply this to the infected area (so that the baking soda paste is on your skin) for 5 minutes, 4 times a day. If the ringworm shows no sign of healing after 5 days contact your doctor, it's probably something more serious.

If you've had ringworm for a while you need to see a doctor. Ringworm is very contagious and can spread to other areas of your body so make sure you wash your hands after being in contact with the infected area. I had ringworm on my arm from a cat that I held. It started out as small patch and within a week and a half the ringworm had spread over both of my arms. Over the counter creams didn't work. My doctory had to put me on an oral prescription. You definately don't want it to spread to your head. When you get ringworm in your head you loose hair from the infected area, so imagine walking around with bald patches. I've heard that once it gets into your head it's harder to get under control. So get that check out as soon as possible. Hope this helps.

There is a medicine that you can buy - it might have to be prescribed to you, or just go talk to your local pharmacist over the counter - and you just apply it to your skin, like a lotion or whatever, and you may have to shower it off but that should get rid of them just as if they were anywhere else on your body. Make sure you take care of it - ringworm is a fungus.

You need to see a doctor to get medication for that. It takes six months to a year of taking the medication to get rid of ring worm and ring worm is very contagious.
