First off, I hope you're young.
If you believe so passionately, you SHOULD also be studying the bible regularly !
IF you had understanding of the bible, you would no longer be catholic. that is what I did, and I hope you find your way to do the same.
Spirits are essentially demons or the devil attempting to get a firmer hold on you and your life, decisions, ETC. !
Research the histories of halloween, easter, even christmas and you will find their pagan backgrounds. read the book of numbers in the bible and you will find out what god does to paganistic people - even if you don't 'mean it in that way' or whatever, it won't matter, ou're still doing it.
My family is still catholic, and it has been difficult, but if your'e young you may still have time to be open to learning. If you're 60 like 'Angel Eyes' on Yahoo, you are too brainwashed in rituals to even think for yourself.
God kills paganistic people- Numbers will tell you this, He once had Moses murder a large group of people and put their heads on spikes, then God was so mad he killed over 23,000 people though a plague, they were also paganistic.
All the stuff of Harry Potter, magic, etc. is paganistic, to watch a movie is one thing, to believe in it is DEFINITELY another.
Good Luck.

Well I am a Catholic too. And I believe in one God and I think it's great that you believe in one God but guess what on some of these answers might say yes or no but you know what if you don't know it's a sin then it's not a sin. At school I learned that from a Sister at my parish. So don't worry girl all you have to do is pray and ask God to help you figure out what is right or wrong and don't freak out it's not the end of the world. Alright all you have to do is believe in God and you know everything.

I believe in one God and the Bible also. No, it is not wrong to believe in whatever you like as long as it does not harm other living things. As humans, we live in a very small window of our 5 senses and 3 dimensions. Without sophisticated equipment, we cannot see, feel, hear, or sense all the other things that are occurring around us. There are millions of reports of unexplainable phenomena that has occurred throughout recorded history. It's OK to think and believe outside of the box I have a theory on religion you may be interested in but it's too large to attach here. If you would like to read it, send me an e-mail at ssaltyddog@yahoo.com and I'll send you a copy by return mail.

there are spiritual forces (as seen in biblical stories) but you have to be careful. There's a difference between beleiving in something and celebrating it. The bible speaks against magic and mediums etc...so stay away from practising or supporting it in any way. However, I don't think it's wrong listen to scary stories or stuff like that. Just put God first in all things and you'll be sure you're safe.....God bless.

NHo way are you wrong, Ghosts are spirits and being a christian you believe in spirits and that our body holds our spitrits etc. THe only think with witches and black magisc etc is that that ssort of thoing stems from the devil. Dont listen to those knockers who answered this question they do not know the darker side of the spiritual realm, and unfortunately the occult, black magic etc is all very real.
Ghosts are usually demons imitating the dead to.

Forget about believing in Halloween and scary stories. Just because I don't know if I haven't seen a ghost doesn't mean there aren't any. Just trust in God. Any ghost around you they might be very friendly.

"Wrong" depends on how you want to define the word. Do you mean inconsistent? Do you mean anti-Scriptural?
There is one God. There is also his first, best creation, Lucifer (a.k.a., Satan.) I know ghosts and U.F.O.'s (etc.) exist. My brother showed me his photograph of a U.F.O. and of a ghost. I know they're real . . . but what are they really? They are demons trying to deceive us humans so that we'll kill each other off (and then they can take over this planet).
Thus, which God are you believing in? If you believe in the true God, then also believing in ghosts, etc. is unbiblical, a sin, and basically living in darkness instead of in God's light. But if you believe in "the god of this age," then believing in ghosts and magic and myths and minerals is very consistent with what he does.

You are not wrong.
Catholics believe in ghosts and spirits (one in particular is called the Holy Spirit). We believe in saints and angels appearing to people...some would call these ghosts.
The Bible speaks against magic and witches...which means they probably do exist.
And Halloween is actually "All Hallow's Eve," a Catholic Holiday.
Catholics believe in these things, my friend. You are not wrong.

You might be punishing yourself unnecessarily here. You have your faith. But you also enjoy exploring the possibilities of life after death in the form of spirits or ghosts. You wonder about magic and mystical things, but that doesn't mean that you have abandoned your faith. It just means that you are curious about these things and enjoy reading about them and learning more about them. As long as you recognize the difference between fact and fiction, real and fantasy and science fiction, there is nothing going on here that is 'wrong'.

To believe in God and the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit
The Spirit which is you Soul the Etheric body it is understood as a sort of life force body or aura that constitutes the "blueprint" of the physical body, and which sustains the physical body.
Is for you to believe in Yourself
Nothing in life is to be feared. It is only to be understood.
Believe nothing just because a so-called wise person said it.
Believe nothing just because a belief is generally held.
Believe nothing just because it is said in ancient books.
Believe nothing just because it is said to be of divine origin.
Believe nothing just because someone else believes it.
Believe only what you yourself test and judge to be true
Love & Blessings
Milly
