I would like to respond using Prettywomans answer as an opening...why not.....

heres why not....

If there were no religion , there would be no faith. No faith leads to anarchy. Anarchy leads to Armaggedon. Armaggedon leads to Total World Cleansing. Total World Cleansing leads to Life Anew.

We have faith and more often religion based faith because without it ...Chaos would reign supreme.

Humans deeply need faith to help them explain life. Which will spring from total destruction ...like a massive California wildfire torching everything in its path...only to bring forth life ...as if a pheonix.

So have a little faith...but put most of it in YOURSELF!

Faith is the key to eternal life. We need to have faith in Jesus. He is the Way to heaven.

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God.
Romans 5:1-2

Through faith in Christ we are reconciled with God.

We must have faith because that in which we must have faith is REAL, TRUE, and GOOD.

Having faith means believing without seeing. We know God loves us, and that He sent His only Son to die for us. That is faith, my friend. Amen!

This is an irrelevant question, since we all have faith already, concerning certain things; whether it concern with science, or as simple as our birth-date.
We have faith that a certain day-month-year is our birth-date; we can not prove it, but we have faith on it, since we have our birth-certificate, signed by two or three witnesses.
Now you will have to employ that faith concerning Who to believe, Buddha, Muhammad or Jesus.
Choose one with eyewitnesses and written documents; you will be allright.

If you want to have faith in something you trust
Try putting faith in yourself
And why so you accomplish what you set out for : )

Because not everything can be proven to our 5 senses...some things are beyond this world and our comprehension. This requires faith...

Jesus said...blessed are those who have not seen and still believe.

Because your religion is too senseless and illogical to function any other way.

If faith is just the assumption that things will work out it is normal, otherwise we could get real depressed by watching the news.

Because not all details are recorded in the Bible. We need to have faith that all details will eventually be fulfilled.
