Wow Emily...you really need to be cautious about how fast you're driving. You do realize that a reckless driving case is criminal and not civil like a regular speeding ticket? You could lose your license as this is the same amount of points against your license as a DUI, if your State operates on a point system. I have cleaned up too many young people's body parts off the street because of speeding like this. Please be careful!
If you are guilty, go to your court date and plead guilty or no contest. The court can let you do public service in place of monetary fines. If not, they might let you sit it out in jail or make monthly payment arrangements. In many States you need to have 10% of the total amount of the fines to get set up on a payment plan. This citation will have dire consequences on you insurance costs as well. I hope that helps and I'm glad you're on here asking about how to resolve a ticket instead of asking how to get a lawyer for a murder charge for hitting someone while speeding like that. Good Luck!

Reckless driving is a misdemeanor which will require a court appearance.
The only "help" anyone can give you on here is to tell you to slow down. You're in the system. Go to court and take care of it. If this was the case no attorney can really help you at this point. Take your lumps and move on.
Edit: Public defenders don't handle traffic cases as a rule...at least in my state.

Where, and why in the world would you be driving almost 40 mph over the limit. You might be able to get legal assistance. Check the phone book, and start making some calls.

Ask the police to refer you to a minister who will punch your TS card.
Not having the money is no excuse for driving in such a menacing manner,.
You heart may belong to Jesus but your $$$ belongs to the judge.
