Mounting / humping is typical pack behavior. It is a dominance thing rather than sexual, to determine position or pecking order within the pack. Neutered males do it, even females do it, especially the alpha females. Dogs are pack animals; your canine's roots are in the wild dog and wolf packs; this is just instinctive behavior. You never want to let your dog hump you (he is trying to dominate you)
Homosexuality is restricted to two-legged species to the best of my knowledge

It's nothing sexual...it's a dominant behavior. My female dog does it all the time with one of my male cat.

I did a big investigation as I was totally confused about her behaviour. I talked to a vet and he said it is a mean to say she is the top dog. She would never dare to the same thing to my other male cat because he would shred her into pieces.

In my house...the pecking order is as follow : Me, top animal, then my long haired male cat, then my female dog and the last one, my short haired male cat.

No! Dogs do that all the time! They are usually just playing, and sometimes they just want some sexual activity in their lives, whether with a girl or a boy dog! Just remember that your dog is just having some fun. He's not gay!

No.

Your dog was displaying dominance, nothing sexual about it.

Dogs will mount each other, and humans to say they are higher up in the world than the other being.

Your dog isn't gay.

as someone mentioned already it has to do with dominance and property. Its like when dogs leave marks and scents on property thats theirs. Dogs will hump other animals that they in a sense "own".

No, your dog is not gay. Being a male specie, they hump anything that move.

They mount other dogs for more reasons than just mating. It's also a dominance concept.

Either way, accept your dog for whatever he might be.

NO dogs are just like that. He is practicing for a future mate, otherwise he's just playing.

At a certain age, male dogs will hump anything that moves, or doesn't move, for that matter. Don't worry about it, he's just horny.

You didn't give enough information.

Does he wear a pink collar?
When you throw a bone does he pick it up and chew on it or does he sit on it and groan?
Does he squat to pee?
When he drinks from the toilet does he leave the lid up or down?
Does he ever rearrange the furniture?
Does he become agitated when you wear an orange shirt with purple pants?
