Joe... perhaps the parents push them to strongly, that would be pushing them away on the inside. Kids need to be kids, don't force it onto them.

No, but I would hope that they would know themselves better. It's a process.

I went to school with a boy and a girl that lived 2 blocks away from me. both of there parents where in church all the time, the father was a minister and the mother was a sunday teacher. both children went to church monday wednesday and sunday. from age 5 to 18 when they moved out from home the son started stealing and selling drugs, now he is in the pin for 8yrs the sister is a crack prostitute and has been in and out of pin 3 times. where did the parents go wrong? the children always followed by example. when they got of age and moved out, it deemed no difference

It all depends on where they are in their walk with Christ at the beginning. Without knowing, how can I answer this?
