like, the origins..... it was the way that death sentences were carried out. not always actually on a cross but similar.... if youre off your feet and your arms are up then you cant breathe properly, you suffocate. before and for a while after the time of christ.


there are some ''relics' not complete skeletons attatched to crosses i dont think, but they've found an ancient foot nailed to a piece of wood, and some hands.

Well I'm sure there rotted away. Wood is one of those materials that will burn or rot. What do ya think? After 2000 years? hummmmm?

They were re-used by the Romans until they were not usable any more; then someone burned them for firewood.
