my brothers and sisters say God allows free will. Romans 3:11-18 says God hates our ways, and wants us to go his way.(Heck he killed his son for us, his son, children of God. I know Christians he rose again, but the son was hurt for U)
Seek his face, and learn Gods ways of been good. Become prophetable unto God. Then God will say there is a least one person's good from seeking my face, to gain understanding of who I am. Start seeking his face.

Hello,

I cannot find a specific verse that says 'free will' in it - generally speaking, in the NIV 'freewill' is often a term used in regard to offerings people give to God in the Old Testament.

However, I believe that I have found some passages which may be of use to you (all of which are taken from the NIV):

Romans 3:13 says "Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you", but I realise that the subject is generically speaking about people in authority.

1 Corinthians 8:9 speaks about the danger of misusing your free will: " Be careful, however, that the exercise of your freedom does not become a stumbling block to the weak."

Paul expounds on this in 1 Corinthians 10:23, saying "'Everything is permissible'—but not everything is beneficial. 'Everything is permissible'—but not everything is constructive" in regard to our behaviour.

In Galatians 5:13 there is another admonishment toward behaviour: " You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love."

James, in James 1:22-27, instructs that people should: "Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it—he will be blessed in what he does. If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he deceives himself and his religion is worthless. Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."

He continues in James 2:12, saying: "Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom".

I hope that this has been what you were looking for, or at least has been a bit of help to you!

Revelation 22:17 (Whole Chapter)
And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

John 3:18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.[a] 19This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.
that sounds like free will to me

JN 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

these verses give the basis of free will. If you believe you will be saved. conversely if you don't believe you won't be saved.

"Free will" does not mean "no rules".

It means you have the right and the ability to choose - but each person will still bear the consequences of their choice.

"Do not be misled, God is not one to be mocked. For whatever a man is sowing, this he shall also reap." Galatians 6:7

How come i can choose to disagree with you if God disallows free will? One of us is wrong and that itself is proof we can choose. Often the truth is very simple. Predestination was a doctrine invented by John Calvin in the 16th century.

In Isaiah 60 I think it is written "To whom will I look says the Lord God, I will look to him who is contrite in heart and humble in spirit."

So I dont know if we can come to God of our own free will.
