I don't know how long i've had it, but probably atleast 3 years. I guess I never really thought about it because my head is never really itchy. But, my scalp always smells really bad, and I have blisters on my scap too. What should I do? I'm scared to go to the doctors.

most effective- shave your head. ;)really that is the most effective. but you could go to the doctor and get a prescription for qwell it work great. (not sure i spelled qwell correctly?) but make sure you disinfect your house and other around you as well. you can also buy some shampoo at walmart or any drug store. just make sure you use it appropriately and use the comb to remove their eggs. Good Luck

You NEED to go to the docs, especially if there's an odor and blisters. You most likely have an infection which will only get worse without antibiotics. If you're embarrassed, go to a clinic out of your town. Whatever doc you see can give you an Rx for a lice treatment as well as the antibiotic. Good luck. Don't wait any longer, or you could become really, really ill!

GO. TO. THE. DOCTOR...first thing Monday. Go to a walk-in clinic.

You do not have lice.
If you had lice, everyone in your life, friends, family, etc, would have had *recurring* lice infestions. Your personal items would be so badly infested with lice that you would have to burn everything you own.

What you have, I do not know.
