Actually Mexicans help this country the most. They do the jobs that Americans won't do, and a Princeton University study showed that they keep 90% of the money they make in this country. Ask yourself next time you're in Wal*Mart shopping for cheap food and other goods where would this country be without the tens of millions of Mexicans willing to work here for less than min wage.

I think people are more angry at the fact that they come over here, they assume they leach off of us but they come here to work. I think the lease we can do is start educating the kids that they have while they're here this way they don't become a burden to the country as uneducated adults.

Edit : TM99 states that it was "educated people" that built this country.... sorry you're WAY off. It was a mix of immigrants that came over on boats to look for a better life, better jobs and a better future for their families... (sounds a lot like what Mexicans are doing now.) Our Union Men and Women that paved the roads, built the first cars settled the first towns were Immigrants just like Mexicans, they took low paying hard working jobs. Look what happened when farming dried up during the dust bowl. Now picture what would happen if all the Mexicans in this country stopped farming for us. As far as Technology being built in this country that's not entirely true. Post WW2 Most of the technology and advances we got were from German scientist. The technology we use now is mostly from foreign made (look at any product you have lying around and tell me where its made at.) America does a great job at micro managing other countries to suit our own needs. We have always been behind countries first Germany now Japan when it comes to science and technology. Now that other countries learn our micromanaging of other peoples resources and technology we won't be a "super power" for long, we'll just be another country with a bunch of debt. Without the help from other countries and immigrants this country COULD NOT sustain itself we simply don't have enough resources. Do you think a country that can't take care of itself should be considered a "super power"?

My favorites are: Taiwan, Scotland, Italy, Ireland, Germany, Ghana, Jamaica, Japan, Norway, Sweden, France.....Canada, England, Wales, Holland, Belgium, Indonesia, Fiji.......

The girl who said that the Mexicans contributed the most, .....

please listen carefully: the U.S didn't become the super power it is because of whole bunch of Mexicans who were willing to take the fruit/vegie picking, lawn mowing, dish washing jobs with non-livable wages, I hope you will some day understand that without the brains behind all of the most advanced science, technology applied in all fields and trades, (that were made possible by MANY OF THOSE WHO ARE HIGHLY EDUCATED, INNOVATIVE, AND WHO CAME HERE LEGALLY.) there would not be the money these Mexicans now are making. And if there's any room there, try to remember that without the laws that the illegals have been breaking, the U.S would have been just as shitty , poor, corrupt as Mexico.

Canada...hands down.

They speak the language, understand the laws, know how society works and have the same educational system. They even drive on the correct side of the road and know what red lights and stop signs mean. I live 20 minutes from the Canadian border and work side by side with a dozen Canadians. Everything about them makes them assimilate perfectly into American society...save the penchant to cheer for teams from Montreal and Winnepeg.

Immigrants from every nation have contributed in making the USA the great nation it is. To say one more did than another is to ignore 500 years of history.
