someone thinks its necessary to write a 1000 word response. same goes for when you answer a Q and you know no one reads your response because they have lost their concentration scrolling thru one never ending response.shut up already

And don't you hate it when you have to scroll through 50 peoples responses, all of them reading yes because the answer to the question is so obvious theres really no need to ask it?

I hear you. I also hate it when you ask something and they give you everything except an answer to the question.
My daughter once asked me to post a question to ask for ideas for her 13th birthday party. Nearly everyone who responded, rather than give me ideas, jumped on me with the fabricated idea that I was taking over my daughter's party and embarrassing her.
One person responded with an actual answer. She suggested Twister. My daughter hates Twister, but told me to give her the 10 points because of the effort to give a real answer.
I'm sorry, I got off the subject, but you can understand how unwanted essays and non-answers could be equally frustrating.

Writing a long response makes it possible to get your meaning though more efficiently. I do not assume that people who ask questions don't have the patience to read a few paragraphs.

Yes, that's why I use the thumbs down feature. It closes that answer so I don't have to look at it :)

I always skip long answers, and cut and paste idiots.
