I'd like to know how to remove the factory stereo from a 91 Town car without butchering my dash

You don't have to take any part of your dash off. Your radio should pull out with standard DIN-removal tools like these: http://www.cardomain.com/item/SCODT1?ref=gogwr&utm_source=google&utm_medium=ppc&utm_term=din_removal_tool

Just push them into the holes on each side of the factory radio until you feel them click into place, then flex them away from each other to release the locking clips and pull the radio out.

some lincolns the plastic trim arounf the radio needs to be remove and you will find the screws to remove the radio
