CAMILA,
THE PRICE FOR A PORCELAIN VENEER IS CLOSE TO THAT OF A CROWN. THIS IS A FEW HUNDRED $.
LOOK INTO HAVING SOME COMPOSITE VENEERS THAT CAN BE DONE THE SAME DAY YOU VISIT THE DENTIST FOR A COST THAT IS MUCH MORE REASONABLE. ANOTHER OPTION FOR YOU IS PROFESSIONAL BLEACHING WHICH IS MORE EFFECTIVE THAN HOME KITS YOU CAN BUY AT THE RETAILER.

Fees vary by dentist, but in my office we charge $900 a tooth for a veneer. There is no procedure where you can "paint" over a tooth to change the shape of shade, however as Dr. Albert said there is a thing called composite veneers, or also called bonding. However, bonding is using the same material as is used on tooth colored filling on the back teeth, composite. On average, these last about 8 yrs., sometimes more but sometimes less. They are usually compairable in fee to a large composite filling, which in my office would be about $400 a tooth. Still expensive to many, but consider this. If you were looking to get another type of cosmetic work, would you be looking for the guy who would do the cheapest and fasted boob job or face lift, or would you want the best?

Unless they are really badly dark yellow or brown, fastest and easiest is to go to the dentist and get a custom tray made and get a kit of Nite White or Opalescense and start using it, it works great, and fast! You can buy the gel on ebay a lot cheaper than at the dentist, but best if you get the tray done so it is a custom fit, at the dentist (probably $60 more or less).
Personally, after reading Trudeau's "Natural Cures", I had ALL my silver fillings removed fast! Read it sometime and you will see why. It is still out there that they could be the cause of MS (who knows) and many other disorders, why take the chance? Probably time to have them replaced anyway? You are right, yellow teeth do make you look older - and silver teeth are out, white teeth are in. Veneers, when I looked into this, were 1,500 per tooth, sometimes a bit more and sometimes a lot more, depending on the dentist.

It's quite expensive. I asked my dentist about it....I think he said $500 a tooth . I could be wrong on that , but I do remember being in a state of shock over it and realizing that I just would not be able to do it.
You might want to ask your dentist about a process called bonding which is similar to veneers and costs MUCH less...$80 a tooth or so. They don't last as long(but they still last years) and are thicker than veneers .
If it's just for whiter teeth ask your dentist about bleaching them. It's probably not really bleach lol...they have a solution they put on your teeth. Anyway, I couldn't use it because my teeth and gums were really sensitive to it.

If the two enamel that he's suggesting which you get veneers for are on the two area of the six that he has already placed, those too are considered anterior (front) enamel. it incredibly is general to recommend 8 veneers if necessary and exceptionally in the adventure that your smile line is extensive. You kinda choose them there for an excellent stability. something previous your bi-cuspids will could desire to have crowns on them. FYI, be careful biting into frustrating meals including apples etc including your veneers. in case you are able to wreck your organic enamel you are able to surly wreck a veneer.
