The prophetic role is to share information with people that they do not want to hear. Bad news from a foreigner can be ignored, but a fellow citizen who calls for a changesd life and couontry is viewed as a traitor.

Because people look at him and say, "How can he be any wiser than I am? I grew up with him, I know his family, he goes to the same places I do. So how could there be anything special about him?"
