recently had my computer wiped out because I had many viruses. I had to re-install my sims 2, University, Nightlife, and Open for Buisness. When I went to play the game, it had problems loading. I had to restart my computer twice. When I finally got it to work, I loaded a neighboorhood, and the whole sims screen turned gray! Today, I tried to play it and it didn't even get past the loading screen ( the first one where captions marquee across the bottom) it shut off and went to my desktop!
Any Ides?

Have you also reloaded the motherboard chipset and videocard drivers? If not, do it now. The drivers can usually be downloaded from the net.

I know it would take a while but try uninstalling them and reinstalling them. it might be that when you installed them the second time a file might have been corupted
