My cat is 1 year old and had a litter of 4 cats, there are 3 other grown cats in my house and she has been attacking them without warning, even when they are no where near the kittens, I dont believe thats its an attempt to protect the kittens because all but one incedent the cats were no where near the litter, is there another reason why? Is there anyway to help her get along with the other cats again?

She's in heat. Get her spayed. Get the males neutered.

She is being protective. The best thing to do is make a private place for her and the kittens. If you have to, place her in her own room with food, water, and litter pan.

At the moment, she may not want to get along with the other cats. Even if they are ones that she has lived with previously, she may feel threatened.

We fostered a mother cat who had eight kittens with us. Our other cat was fine with this, and the mother cat was nice to begin with. The she would randomly lash out at our cat after the kittens were born, basically the same scenario as yours. We kept her and the kittens in a separate room for a few days, then slowly introduced the cats again. After a few weeks she stopped being irritable and was kind to our cat again. I would suggest isolating your mother cat and her kittens for a while too. She may just want some alone time with them.

First of all, congrats, you are an aunt/uncle! She is going through stress and hormones, just like a human would have if it had twins. Let her have her space, and respect her personel area, ( dont move the food or kittens or litterbox etc.) I hope everything works out well, and the kittens find a loving home.

I would keep momma cat and her babies in a separate room, with their own litter box, food and water. She may be a little more protective, especially if this is her first brood of babies.
Also, like humans, she could just be a little hormonal, (post partum depression). It should resolve itself as the babies get older and more independent of her.
