Yeah, that's what The Master taught....Brilliant, isn't it !!!!

Totally turned the tables on how people handled conflict; go from retaliation to forgiveness and willingly hand over more than the thief was going to take.

Too bad, it got rationalized away and never became a part of life. And we are reaping the whirlwind, right now because of that decision.

But, God really did want us to make that quantum leap of evolution; and that is what that would have meant 2,000 years ago. The rules of the moral game would have changed and He through us -- would have outwitted the 'god of this world'

Alas...didn't happen. So, we war and kill and destroy and pollute and the 'law of supply and demand' + plus, greed, envy , gluttony and pride....are destroying us and the planet.

We are easter island !! How apropos !! On a small south pacific island, the people once there..cut down all the tree's in order to roll their 'great big head statues' to the seashore. They killed their island...nothing could grow, the birds left, the critters died off and then the people were no more.

** Turn the other cheek & give the thief more than he stole.?
Are we to be a doormat? **

Apparently so, doesn't seem fair or right, does it.
He steals your hat and you sheepishly offer your coat also.
In reality that does not happen very much.

No it means forgiving those that are trying to do you harm. You can forgive and turn the other cheek without being walked all over.
