A healthy breakfast will contain a good balance of protein, carbohydrates and fat. 1 serving of steel cut or large flake oats (4 grams protein 20 grams slow digesting carbohydrates 2 grams fat) 2 whole eggs, I cook mine on nonstick pan no oil(14 grams protein 5 grams fat) and 1 apple(20 grams carbohydrates and alot of antioxidants)

18 grams protein, 40 grams carbohydrates and 7 grams of fat, a very good start to any day.

The oatmeal provides slow digesting carbs to keep you feeling satisfied and lower "bad"cholesterol, the eggs provide the best source of protein in nature, and the apple....well, an apple a day keeps the doctor away.

You need fat by the way. http://flaxmeal.com/skinny_on_fat.htm

Cereal, toast, fruit juice(not stuff like Sunny D or Hi-C)-only the 100% juice. No breakfasts from fast food places. Home made food is much healthier for you. Eat stuff that's not loaded in fat and if you feel hungry don't run for the snack chips and junk get something like Boost or Ensure because your body needs nutrients and junk food doesnt cut it.

Always eat plenty of nutritional food the first thing in the morning since that's when your metabolism is at its peak for waking up. Breakfast isnt donuts, coffee cake, and pop since this seems to be a diet for most people in the morning to substitute for eating healthy. I've watched people in urban areas skip the fruit stand and head for the sugary sodas and candy bars and fried food instead of eating a fresh salad and drinking fresh fruit juice. A healthy breakfast works well if you add in plenty of exercise.

The most healthy is a big bowl of organic rolled oats and a real juice without sugar added. A little organic sugar on the oats, along with a little non-fat milk seems to be okay as long as you don't have a sugar problem. Fresh fruit with the oatmeal is also tasty.

One of my favorites is scrambled eggs (or egg whites if you want it really healthy) Salsa, and shredded cheese wrapped in a tortilla.

Oatmeal is healthy I like to cut up a banana and smash it into the oatmeal for better flavor.

Whole grain toast with peanut butter and bananas

Yogurt with sliced strawberries and granola.
