Evey year I listen to "Jesus Christ Superstar"
"Listen, Jesus I don't like what I see; all I ask is that you listen to me -- and remember: I've been your right hand man all along..."
Listen to it if you have it!

Labels are labels. I'm an atheist pagan, but "Good Friday" is a term familiar to most.
I celebrated the equinox a while back, but hot damn, I love this music!!

I love Jesus Christ Superstar... it's what started me on the path to being an atheist. It got me asking questions about what I was taught, and it didn't take long to realize it was all fiction. Good music, too.

No, but I do think I'll start a new tradition this year. I'm going to celebrate jesus' death by reminding people that it's called "Good Friday." Also, Jesus is dead and has not bothered the world with any false promises for 2000 years.

I usually get drunk and eat like a starving hog but today I got drunk, ate like a starving hog and rescued a baby mockingbird from a pit bull......a very large, very mean pit bull and I am the coward of the western universe. My bird is napping in a contrived bird-bed on my sister's computer desk as I type. (Yes, I'm sure it's napping and not dead, I can see it breathing and I fed it so there)
I dunno if this will be a new tradition for me. I guess I'll see if the bird lives :)
Anybody have an idea about a possible name for my bird? Anybody in northwest Louisiana wanna adopt a bird?
Have an extremely GOOD Friday, y'all!!

I do!!!!! If not on Good Friday itself, sometime during Holy Week. It's refreshing for me since I'm usually up to my ears in church services. The rock music almost shocks me out of the complacency I get lulled into because I'm so preoccupied with details of all the liturgies.

I use to do the same every year. This year I just did not get to it. I would listen to it on the way to and from work . It was my own private tradition for years. I great way to get into the Good Friday mood.

Today is a bad friday...sorry. I have a migraine. My brother was just discharged from the hospital to go home and die. And I don't celebrate Easter. I celebrate Ostara.
but if it's a good "good friday" for you, then, oh hell yeah.

The story of Jesus told through the eyes of Judas. The album is an excellent example of someone who got it totally wrong.
I prefer "Godspell" myself
