Just as I thought. People are working earlier or later. Most people "have to get up early", thus more energy consumption.

Do you believe every rumor you hear? Oh, and erock, Daylight Savings Time does not give us more daylight, it just shifts that daylight from morning to afternoon.

I think it saved 2.8% rather than costing 2.8%.

At least, that was the plan behind it all.

that is completely backward. we get more daylight , so how does that use more energy?
