We've used...
- dried grasses, mosses, etc.

Don't ya just hate this stuff. You want to just tie it around you vacuum beater bar, because that is where it will end up. I purchase a cute T Shirt for my son and place it in the bottom of the basket, for girls I have done the same, or added other similar items.

I do not force my children to believe in the easter bunny...... santa clause.... tooth fairy ect............. I do not make easter baskets for them........ The candy isnt good for them. We do color eggs , to take to the nursing home close to where i live....

My children are 6 ,15, and im pregnant. For easter I usually get them a new "easter outfit, amd a big plastic case with markers, paints, paper, crayons, stickers, I call it an activity treasure chest. My sons is full of crossword books suduko books, and that sort of thing.

My kids dont really like candy, so for that i guess im lucky.

They know the real meaning of the holiday.

How about a pretty green or yellow washcloth. The "bunny" could also leave a cute bar of soap with all the candy.

Bunched up wrapping paper or tissue paper.

I hate that plastic stuff. It gets everywhere -and- the cats can choke on it.
