both may be same.. as while buying a home from an owner all the land cost, property cost is calculated only u will get a ready made home here. but when u build it u can use any material that suits the climate.. u have the freedom to make Ur own home as u want.. u can have terraces.... water decks.. or anything.. so i would say better build a home .. though its time consuming but when its in front of Ur eyes it seems dream come true

I've only ever built new. For the same price as a used with someone else's decor that probably needs to be redone, I can make all my own choices through the builder. We build in communities with either multiple builder choices or just one. They have their crews, you work with site specialists to make the choices they offer and it's a no brainer. We are now working with Toll Brothers builders in Delaware

Depending on market, when in a building slump its called a buyers market. whenever everybody is buying its a sellers market. Never give anybody what they ask, realtors only look out for themselves.

If you build your own, costs can change, usually up.
Buying a resale, you know what you are getting up front, you can bargain down.
