How do I scan a letter for copy only?

I have a Visoneer 5600 scanner w/Paperport as my software. When I preview a letter, as fax/copy using blk and white color, all I get is a solid black sheet of paper. If I use color, I get the letter with a shaded background. How do I fix this? Thanks.

Check your manual...If u cant figure it out, call the 800 number and ask for their help....
