It can mean "kitchen", "food" or the present tense (3rd person singular) of the verb "cucinare" - "to cook".
For example, "cucina italiana" means "italian food".
"Lei cucina" - "She cooks".
"Le chiavi sono in cucina" - "The keys are in the kitchen".
(I'm italian).

Actually, there are THREE main meanings for the noun "cucina": 1. Kitchen; 2. Cooking, cookery, cuisine; 3. stove. And of course as someone pointed out "cucina" can be present tense 3rd-person singular of the verb cucinare, to cook.

It means kitchen. It means the same in Spanish, but I think the spelling is a little bit different.

The Mica meaning is noting,it`s only an italian idioma, used only in the language of North Italy. In the South is little used.Ma mica is even wrong, because it is used in the negative/interrogative speaking.Non ti ho mica svegliato? It corresponds to:I hope I did not wake up you.
